Evolution of Morphology and Behavior
Nicolas Lassabe is a PhD student in artificial life at the laboratory IRIT in France. His research focuses on the evolution of morphology and behavior of complex creatures in virtual environments. He studies the evolution of creatures faced with different situations from crawling and walking to more complex activities like climbing and skating. The creatures use solid 3D blocks and graphtals like Karl Sims's creatures and signal patterns for the controller.
